Scott’s early career included buying men’s clothing for Lord & Taylor, and getting an early start in the online as a co-founder of RestaurantRow.com in 1999 - the world’s first online dining guide, and crafting digital marketing and advertising strategies for industry heavyweights like CNN, Time Warner, Sony Pictures, Disney, General Electric, Miramax, and HBO among others. Following on these experiences, he co-founded 24/7 Commerce, a subsidiary of online media powerhouse 24/7 Media (NASDAQ:TFSM) and served as Vice President for GiantBear, a provider of mobile content platforms to cellular providers.
In 2003, Scott acquired Freeze 24-7, the world’s first skincare company selling an over-the-counter Botox alternative. As the owner/CEO of Freeze 24-7, he quickly grew the brand from a single item offering to a full skincare brand, selling in thirty countries, across all online, direct to consumer, domestic, and international sales channels; resulting in retail sales of over $100 million by his third year of ownership.
Scott’s acquisition of Freeze 24-7 marked his first day of work in the beauty industry. His innovative operating methods and management, and his multichannel distribution and marketing strategies utilizing a low/no cost market entry model has become a hallmark of his uniquely engaged savvy as a next generation beauty entrepreneur and leader.
It is with this grounded yet disruptive approach, that Scott became a co-founder of Socket in 2006 to bring this expertise to other emerging and established brands through a robust and well-rounded service portfolio.
